Be it enacted by the Chhattisgarh Legislature in the Sixty-third Year of the Republic of India, as follows:-- ** Published in the Chhattisgarh Rajpatra (Asadharan) dated 15-1-2013 Page 26(1). 1. Short Title, Extent And Commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Irrigation (Amendment) Act, 2012. (2) It extends to the whole State of Chhattisgarh. (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force from 1st November, 2000. 2. Omission Of Chapter Vi-A :- Chapter VI-A of the Chhattisgarh Irrigation Act, 1931 (No. III of 1931), relating to "Betterment Contribution", shall be omitted.
