Be it enacted by the Chhattisgarh Legislature in the Fifty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- 1. Short title and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Act, 2005. (2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Amendment of Section 48-B :- In sub-section (1) of Section 48-B of the Chhattisgarh Municipal Corporation Act, 1956 (No. 23 of 1956) for the words "six month" the words "as soon as possible" shall be substituted.
