Procedure of inspection and certification EXPORT OF STEEL AND STEEL PRODUCTS (INSPECTION) RULES, 1966 S.O. 1041, dated 30th March, 1966. 1-In exercise of the powers conferred by Sec. 17 of the the Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Act, 1963 (22 of 1963), and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce No. S.O. 3096, dated the 28th September, 1965, the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement :- (1) These rules may be called the Export of Steel and Steel Products (Inspection) Rules, 1966. (2) They shall come into force on 1st May, 1966. 2. Definition :- In these rules steel and steel products mean the following items of steel and steel products as described in the Indian Standard mentioned against each, namely:- 3. Procedure of inspection and certification :- The provisions of the Indian Standards Institution (Certification Marks) Act, 1952 (36 of 1952), the Indian Standards Institution (Certification Marks) Rules, 1955, and the Indian Standards Institution (Certification Marks) Regulations, 1955, and the procedure laid down by the Indian Standards Institution, in this behalf shall, so far as may be, apply to the inspection of steel products and certification thereof, prior to export.
