MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF HYDERABAD (PAYMENT OF CONVEYANCE ALLOWANCE TO COUNCILLORS) RULES, 1964 In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section (2) of Section 585 read with clause (b) of Section 174 of the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Act, 1955, (Hyderabad Act II of 1956), the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following rules, regulating the payment of conveyance allowance to the Councillors of the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad, the same having been published previously as required by Sub-section (3) of Section 585 of the said Act. RULES 1. . :- These rules may be called the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (Payment of Conveyance Allowance to Councillors) Rules, 1964. 2. . :- Every councillor of the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad shall be paid a fixed conveyance allowance of Rs. 500 per mensem and in addition to this, a fixed conveyance allowance of Rs. 100 per mensem shall be paid to such of the member as have to attend the meetings of the Standing Committees, Ad-hoc Committees and Special Committee : "Provided that when any of the above Committee ceases to function in the middle of a month, the conveyance allowance of Rs. *[100] p.m. payable to a member of the said Committee, shall be proportionate to the number of day s the Committee actually functions in that month." 3. . :- The conveyance allowance for attending the meeting shall not be paid in advance. 4. . :- An attendance register shall always be kept in the Committee hall. Every Councillor, who attends a meeting of the Corporation or its Standing Committee or Ad-hoc Committee of Special Committee shall sign against his name in the register during the time of the meeting. 5. . :- No municipal conveyance shall be utilised by the Councillors for attending any meeting of the Corporation or its Standing Committee or Ad-hoc Committee or Special Committee or for inspections.
