Repeal Of Ordinance No. 3 Of 2011 And Savings Punjab Excise (Himachal Pradesh Amendment) Act, 2011 [09 February 2012] AN ACT further to amend the [Punjab Excise Act, 1914] (Punjab Act No.1 of 1914) as in force in the areas added to Himachal Pradesh under section 5 of the Punjab Re-Organization Act, 1966 (31 of 1966); and as applied to the areas which comprised in Himachal Pradesh immediately before the 1st day of November, 1966, vide the Himachal Pradesh (Application of Laws) Order, 1948 and the Bilaspur (Application of Laws) Order, 1949. BE it enacted b y the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh in the Sixty- second Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- 1. Short Title :- This Act may be called the Punjab Excise (Himachal Pradesh Amendment) Act, 2011. 2. Amendment Of Section 27 :- In section 27 of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914, as in force in the areas added to Himachal Pradesh under section 5 of the Punjab Re- Organization Act, 1966, and as applied to the areas which comprised in Himachal Pradesh immediately before the 1st day of November, 1966, in sub-section (1), for the words "State Government may lease to any man" and "country liquor or intoxicating drug", the words and signs "Financial Commissioner (Excise) may lease or sub-lease to any person" and "excisable article" shall respectively be substituted. 3. Repeal Of Ordinance No. 3 Of 2011 And Savings :- (1) The Punjab Excise (Himachal Pradesh Amendment) Ordinance, 2011 is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the Ordinance so repealed shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Act.
