Amendment of section 15 of Punjab Act 1 of 1953 Punjab New Capital (Periphery) Contr0l (Haryana Amendment) Act, 2014 17 OF 2014 An Act further to amend the Punjab New Capital (Periphery) Control Act, 1952, in its application to the State of Haryana. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in the Sixty-fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows :- 1. Short title :- This Act may be called the Punjab New Capital (Periphery) Control (Haryana Amendment) Act, 2014. 2. Amendment of section 2 of Punjab Act 1 of 1953 :- After clause (1) of section 2 of the Punjab New Capital (Periphery) Control Act, 1952 (hereinafter called the principal Act), the following clause shall be inserted, namely ;- "(1a) "abadi deh" means the area falling within circular road around village abadi also commonly known as phirni, fixed at the time of consolidation under the East Punjab Holdings (Consolidation and Prevention of Fragmentation) Rules, 1949 framed under the East Punjab Holdings (Consolidation and Prevention of Fragmentation) Act, 1948 (East Punjab Act 50 of 1948): Provided that in case phirni as mentioned above, has not been fixed under the said Act, then abadi-deh shall mean the area falling within lal dora. 3. Amendment of section 15 of Punjab Act 1 of 1953 :- In Section 15 of the principal Act,- (i) in clause (e), for the sign "." existing at the end, the sign ";" shall be substituted; and (ii) after clause (e), the following clause shall be added and shall be deemed to have been added with effect from the 30th October, 2012, namely :- "(0 any area comprised in the abadi deh of any village.".
