1. The description of the 4th respondent in the cause title is suo motu corrected as Deputy Chief Engineer, Kerala State Electricity Board

(Transmission Circle), Thodupuzha, Idukki, Pin-685584.

2. The petitioner is working as a Lineman Gr.I in the Kerala State Electricity Board. On 15.5.2024, he was issued with Ext.P5 show cause notice

imputing allegations of misconduct and later on 26.06.2024, he was placed under suspension vide Ext.P6, contemplating disciplinary proceedings. The

petitioner submits that the allegations levelled against him in Exts.P5 and P6 are incorrect and that the documents for the purpose of enquiry are under

the safe custody of respondents 3 and 4 and there is no justification in keeping him under suspension. He has filed Ext.P7 appeal against Ext.P6 order

of suspension under Rule 23 of the Kerala State Electricity Board (Classification, Control and Appeal) Regulations 1969 before the 4th respondent.

However, the 4th respondent has not so far considered Ext.P7. Accordingly, the petitioner has filed this writ petition challenging Ext.P6 order of

suspension.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing counsel for respondents.

Since the petitioner has preferred Ext.P7 appeal against Ext.P6 order of suspension, there will be a direction to the 4th respondent to consider Ext.P7

appeal in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this

judgment. All other contentions of the petitioner are left open.

The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction.
