1. Applicant is in judicial custody in Case Crime No.203 of 2022, under Sections 147, 148, 149, 302, 34 and 120-B IPC, Police Station Pantnagar,

District Udham Singh Nagar. He has sought short term bail on the ground of illness of his parents and his wife.

2. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record.

3. Learned counsel for the applicant would submit that the applicant’s wife is all alone back at home with her twins children of about 2 years of

age. The parents of the applicant are old and ailing. There are multiple problems with them. Certain documents have been referred to. He would also

submit that the wife of the applicant is diagnosed with stone and she has to undergo an open surgery. The doctor has told that as soon as she is

admitted, operation would be conducted, and, thereafter, she has to take rest for 7 to 10 days.

4. Learned State Counsel was required to get verification of these documents. Today, learned State Counsel gives a statement that the documents are

genuine.

5. Without adverting further on any aspect of the matter, purely on the humanitarian ground, this Court is of the view that, the applicant may be

granted short term bail for a period of two weeks from the date of his release.

6. Short term bail application is allowed.

7. Accordingly, the applicant shall be enlarged on short term bail only for a period of two weeks from the date of his release on his executing a

personal bond and furnishing two reliable sureties, each of the like amount to the satisfaction of the Court concerned. It is further directed that, on

expiry of two weeks, the applicant shall surrender before the court concerned and intimation to this effect shall also be given to this Court.
