Rajesh Shankar, J
1. The present contempt case has been filed for initiating contempt proceeding against the opposite parties for their wilful and deliberate violation of
the order dated 24th April, 2023 passed in W.P.(C) No.1165 of 2023.
2. A show cause affidavit has been filed on behalf of the opposite party no.4 on 23rd January, 2024, annexing copy of letter no.85 dated 4th July, 2023
issued to the petitioner, whereby she has been informed that certified list of acquired lands available in his office does not contain her name and hence
no payment of compensation can be made to her.
3. It is, thus, submitted that the opposite party no.4 has complied the aforesaid order passed by this Court.
4. As against this, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the Additional Collector, Chatra was requested by the opposite party no.4 to
send updated certified list of acquired lands, however, the same was not sent by the said officer, due to which the petitioner’s claim for
compensation could not be considered by the opposite party no.4.
5. Be that as it may.
6. Since no direction was issued to the Additional Collector, Chatra vide order dated 24th April, 2023 passed in W.P.(C) No.1165 of 2023, I see no
reason to further proceed in the matter. The contempt proceeding as against the opposite parties is hereby dropped.
7. The present contempt case stands disposed of.
8. The petitioner is, however, at liberty to take appropriate recourse as permissible under law with respect to inaction on the part of the Additional
Collector, Chatra in not sending updated certified list of acquired lands to the opposite party no.4.
