1. The petitioner no.1 was granted a trade license by the Licensing Authority, Regoh Block Administrative Centre in the year 2018 which was initially valid till 31.03.2019. The record further reveals that the petitioner no.1 was thereafter granted trade license on 03.11.2020 valid till 31.03.2021 and on 14.09.2021 valid till 31.03.2022. Thereafter, although the petitioner no.1 sought for renewal, admittedly, no steps were taken by the State Respondents till date. It is the case of the State Respondents that due to a complaint having been received steps were not taken for renewal.

2. The learned Government Advocate fairly submits that the record does not reveal that the State Respondents have taken any decision either on the application for renewal or on the complaint received. The learned Government Advocate seeks 15 days time on behalf of the State Respondents, in the circumstances, to renew the trade license of the petitioner no.1.

3. In view of the categorical statement made by the learned Government Advocate for the State Respondents the writ petition need not be agitated further. The State Respondents are given 15 days time to take appropriate steps to renew the trade license of the petitioner no.1.

4. The writ petition is allowed and stands disposed of accordingly along with the pending application.
