1. The only issue raised by the petitioner in the present Writ Petition is the non-granting of leave encashment of 240 days.

2. According to the petitioner, he has been paid a leave encashement of only 104 days at his retirement whereas he is entitled for leave encashment of

240 days.

3. Taking into consideration the limited issue raised by the petitioner in the present Writ Petition, this Court does not intend to keep the Writ Petition

pending, rather ends of justice would meet if the petitioner is directed to make a detailed representation to the respondent No.2 along with all the rule

position as it stands for claim of 240 days of leave encashment. The respondent No.2, in turn shall scrutinize the same and take a decision as to

whether the petitioner is entitled for 240 days of leave encashment or not and if he is entitled, let appropriate steps be taken for clearing the balance of

amount to the petitioner forthwith.

4. Let this exercise be done by the respondent No.2 within a period of 3 months from the date the petitioner makes a representation.

5. The Writ Petition accordingly stands disposed off.
