2. Sh. Ashok Aggarwal, Additional Advocate General, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. Copy of the petition be supplied to

Mr. Aggarwal by the counsel for the petitioner. The petitioner has approached this Court seeking directions to the official respondents to give

seniority to the petitioner as Excise and Taxation Inspector from August 6, 1990 which is the date on which the person junior to her was placed in

the said seniority.

3. From the perusal of the record, we find that a representation dated June 26, 2006 (Annexure P-5) has been filed by the petitioner which

remains unresponded so far.

4. Consequently, without commenting upon the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, we dispose of the present petition with a direction to the

Excise and Taxation Commissioner-respondent No. 2 to take a final decision on the representation dated June 26, 2006, Annexure P-5, by

passing a detailed and speaking order within a period of 6 months from the date a certified copy of this order is received by him after affording an

opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and all other affected persons. Copy of the order be given dasti on payment of the usual charges.
