@JUDGMENTTAG-ORDER
R.L. Anand, J.@mdashThe learned counsel for the petitioner has not challenged the conviction of the petitioners, but has prayed mercy on the plea that they have already suffered nine-month sentence; there were injuries on the side of the accused also and the parties were labourers. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State has no serious objection to the reduction of sentence.
2. Keeping in view the fact that the occurrence took place as back as on 6.6.1989 and since then the petitioners are suffering the agony of criminal proceedings and moreover there are injuries on the side of the accused, I am of the opinion that the ends of justice will suffice if the substantive sentences of all the petitioners, namely Lachhman Dass, Des Raj and Joga Ram are hereby reduced to the already undergone. Order accordingly. The imposition of fine is not disturbed.
3. With this modification in the matter of sentence the (SIC) revision stands disposed of.
