K.C. Puri, J.@mdashThe case of the petitioners is that they are major and have contracted marriage on 30.8.2010. The marriage certificate and the photographs evidencing marriage have been placed on the file. It is alleged that they apprehend danger from respondents No. 5 and 6. To seek redressal of their grievance, they have submitted representation dated 7.9.2010, (Annexure P-5) to the S.S.P., Mohali.

2. Notice of motion to Advocate General, Punjab.

3. On the asking of the Court, Sh. Sudhir Nehra, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice.

4. Without commenting on the age of the petitioners and validity of the marriage, directions are given to S.S.P., Mohali to decide the representation of the petitioners (Annexure P-5) within one month from today, keeping in view the threat perception to the petitioners.

5. However, it is made clear that in case any criminal case is pending against the petitioners, this order shall not debar the respondents to proceed with.

6. The petition stands disposed of.
