Judgement

C.N. Ramachandran Nair, J.@mdashThis is a public interest litigation filed challenging the shifting of village office from the present location to

another place for the purpose of construction of bus terminal. Government Pleader after obtaining instruction from the District Collector submitted

that without acquiring the land and demolishing the village office, the proposed bus terminal cannot be constructed. We do not think there is any

justification for this Court to interfere with the proposal for construction of bus terminal and approach roads thereto, which are public purposes.

2. So far as Petitioner''s apprehension about relocation of the village office is concerned, Government Pleader submitted that shifting to another

place is only temporary and in the course of time, village office will be located in the same area in a suitable building to be constructed. This

submission is recorded and WPC is disposed of directing the Government to bring back the village office to a suitable place in the area as soon as

possible.
