Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, and without commenting anything as regards the merits of the assertions made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, to ensure that representation dated 20.3.2023 (Annexure P-7) is got examined at the earliest as regards the alleged threat perception of the petitioners in accordance with law. It is further directed that it be ensured that the petitioners are not obstructed by anybody when they approached the Office of Sub Registrar, Patiala on 31.3.2023, and are allowed to appear before Sub-Registrar.
A copy of this order along with copy of representation dated 20.3.2023 (Annexure P-7) be sent to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, for necessary compliance.
