2. Applicant-Smt Billa Devi @ Vimla Devi, who is in jail in connection with Case Crime No. 02 of 2011, relating to offences punishable u/s 9/51/52 of Wild Life Protection Act, 1972, and under Sections 147, 353 and 332 of I.P.C., police station Rikharikhal, District Pauri Garhwal, has sought her release on bail.

3. Admittedly, the leopard injured three persons. Thereafter, the animal entered in a cowshed of fourth person. It is alleged in the First Information Report that villagers closed the door of cowshed, and killed the animal. Learned Counsel for the Applicant submitted that it was a mob reaction shown by the villagers after the leopard injured three persons. It is also pleaded that human lives are more important than the life of the animal. Apart from this the Applicant is a woman.

4. In the above circumstances, having considered submissions of learned Counsel for the parties, this Court is of the view that the Applicant deserves bail. Bail Application is allowed.

5. Let the Applicant- Smt Billa Devi @ Vimla Devi be released on bail on executing personal bond and furnishing two sureties, each of the like amount, to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Pauri Garhwal.
