In pursuance of the directions passed by this Court on 31.07.2023, all the parties to the petition as well as the members of General Body of Tripura Cricket Association have appeared personally before this Court.

I have interacted with the President Sri Tapan Lodh, Secretary Sri Tapas Ghosh, Vice-President Sri Timir Chanda, Treasurer Sri Joy Lal Das, Joint Secretary Sri Jayanta Dey; the Office Bearers, namely, Sri Subrata Dey, Sri Basudeb Chakraborty, Sri Ranjan Datta, Sri Shyamal Bhattacharjee, Sri Utpal Acharjee, Sri Gouranga Bhowmik, Sri Subham Roy, Sri Rakesh Das, Sri Tapashendu Nath, Sri Chiranjib Dey and others who appeared personally before this Court.

I have interacted with them in presence of Mr. P. Sharma, learned counsel along with Mr. Maloy Debnath, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners as well as Mr. S. S. Dey, learned Advocate General appearing for the respondents-State, Mr. S. Lodh, learned counsel appearing for the respondent nos.3, 5 and 7 and Mr. Kohinoor N. Bhattacharjee, learned counsel appearing for respondents-Tripura Cricket Association.

The Secretary of the Tripura Cricket Association (TCA) is ready to give an undertaking to this Court that he shall cooperate with the President in all respects within the ambit of the TCA Constitution, and he has also expressed that he has no objection, if any investigation is made as regards any affairs of the functioning of the Association. The President has also expressed his happiness to such undertaking to be given by the Secretary. The Officer Bearers of the Association appeared to come closer. The office bearers including the President and Secretary have no objection if Ombudsman and Ethics Officer are appointed by the Court.

However, the General Body members have sought for a day’s time to consult amongst themselves and pass on their decision tomorrow.

Considering the above submission, list the matter on 03.08.2023 as Part-Heard.

All the parties to the petition along with other members of TCA are directed to appear in-person tomorrow(03.08.2023) at 1.00 p.m.
