1. COMPLAINANT is absent. She has not given her address. Reference has, however, been to Misc. Appeal No. 131/90 wherein the complainant is a party. The record of that case was obtained from the Court to ascertain the address of the complainant. The address is as follows : Village - Saraswatipur, P.O. Jayadevka - saba, P.S. Chandipur, Distt. - Balasore.
2. ACCORDING to the complainant, her Lawyer Mr. K.C. Pradhan was ordered to receive Rs. 25,000/- to be given to the claimant out of the compensation awarded for the death of one Bhagaban Panda, the husband of claimant in a motor accident. The complainant has merely alleged that the Advocate has not paid the said amount to her. From the records of M.A. No. 131/90 we find that this Court has awarded compensation of Rs. 50,000/- out of which Rs. 25,000/- was to be paid to Sri K.C. Pradhan to be transmitted to the claimant. Thus, there is nothing further to be enquired into except requiring Sri Pradhan now to pay the amount to the claimant if received by him as per the order passed in M.A. No. 131/90. We, therefore, direct Mr. K.C. Pradhan, Advocate requiring him to pay to the complainant a sum of Rs. 25,000/-, if received as per the order of this Court under intimation to this Commission within a month from the date of receipt of this order, failing which the claimant may ventilate her grievance before this Court.
A copy of this order be served to Mr. Pradhan, appearing for the respondent No. 1 in M.A. No. 131/90 and also to the complainant in this case as per the address noted above. Complaint allowed. _________________
