1. Even if we accept the case of the appellant that the application for appointment on compassionate ground was made within one year of the death of her father, the details of the property, which are available at page 19 of the writ petition, shows that the appellant was not in financial constraints due to death of her father. Particulars of assets are thus:--

Particular of Assets:--

a. Terminal Benefits:
  P.F Rs. 4,91,882.00
  Gratuity Rs. 2,26,681.00
  Leave encash Rs. 1,30,821.00
  Total Rs. 8,49,384.00
b. Family Pension: Basic Rs. 3590.00
  D.A. Rs. 3022.00
  Total Rs. 6612.00
c. Moveable Prop.:
d. Immovable Prop.:-Agricultural land:- 1.5 Acre.
e. House-hold goods: T.V., Almirah.

We are satisfied that on merits, the appellant has no case for appointment on compassionate ground. Dismissal of the writ petition by the Single Judge, therefore, cannot be faulted. Letters Patent Appeal is dismissed in limine.
