Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Andhra Pradesh in the Twenty-eighth year of the Republic of India as follows.-- 1. Short title, extent and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Vacant Lands in Urban Areas (Prohibition of Alienation) Repeal Act, 1978. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Andhra Pradesh. (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 5th November, 1977. 2. Repeal of Act 12 of 1972 :- The Andhra Pradesh Vacant lands in Urban Areas (Prohbition of Alienation) Act, 1972 is hereby repealed. 3. Repeal of Andhra Pradesh Ordinance 19 of 1977 :- T he Andhra Pradesh Vacant lands in Urban Areas (Prohibition of Alienation) Repeal Ordinance, 1977 is hereby repealed.
