Substitution of the schedule Andhra Pradesh Water Tax (Amendment) Act, 1997 13 OF 1997 [15 April 1997] PREAMBLE An Act to amend The Andhra Pradesh Water Tax Act, 1988. Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Andhra Pradesh in the Forty-eighth Year of the Republic of India, as follows:- * Received the assent of the Governor on 14th April, 1997. Short title and the commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Water Tax (Amendment) Act, 1997. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force with affect from the First day of July, 1996. 2. Amendment of section 3 Act 11 of 1988 :- In sections of the Andhra Pradesh Water Tax Act, 1988 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act). (i) in the opening portion for the words "irrigation purposes" the words "Irrigation and Aquaculture purposes shall be substituted; (ii) in the explanation,- (a) in item, (i), for the words "not less than five months", the words "not less than four months shall be substituted; and (b) after item (ii) the following item shall be inserted, namely:- (iii) "Aqua-culture" means, culturing of Prawn, fish or any other aquatic life in captivity, inside tanks, ponds, pens, or any other enclosures utilising water from a Government source. 3. Substitution of the schedule :- In the principal Act, for the Schedule, the following Schedule shall be substituted, namely:- .style1 {font-family: Verdana} --> The schedule (See section 3.) Sl.
