Rule Artist-cum-Photographer (Class-III) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Rules, 1998 In exercise of the powers conferred by Sec. 227 read with Sec. 274 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993 (Guj. 18 of 1993) and in supersession of all the rules made in this behalf the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules to provide for regulating recruitment to the post of Artist-cum Photographer (Class-III) (Panchayat Service), namely, 1. Rule :- These rules may be called the Artist-cum Photographer (Class-III) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Rules, 1998. 2. Rule :- Appointment to the post of Artist-cum-Photographer (Class-III), (Panchayat Service) shall be made by direct selection. 3. Rule :- To be eligible for appointment by direct selection to the post mentioned in Rule 2, a candidate shall, (a) not be less than 18 years and not more than 30 years, of age; (b) (i) have passed the Secondary School Certificate Examination and intermediate Drawing Examination from recognised Institution or possess an equivalent qualification. (ii) have atleast five years experience as an Artist in Advertising, Publicity Department, News Paper Organisation, Government Organisation or in any Photographic Studio, acquired after obtaining the qualification specified above: Provided that preference shall be given to a candidate who possess a Diploma or a Degree in Commercial Arts of a Government recognised institute or School of Arts and knowledge of dark room work or outdoor photography. (c) have adequate knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi. 4. Rule :- A selected candidate shall be on probation for a period of one year. 5. Rule :- A selected candidate shall be required to undergo such training for such period and pass such post training examination as may be prescribed by the Government. 6. Rule :- A selected candidate shall be required to pass the departmental examination and an examination in Gujarati or Hindi or both as may be prescribed by the Government. 7. Rule :- A selected candidate shall be required to furnish a security and surety bond for such amount, in such form and for such period as may be prescribed by the Government.
