Amendment of the Schedule to the Assam Act XIII of 1953 Assam Betterment Fee And Mooring Tax (Dibrugarh) (Amendment) Act, 1954 33 of 1954 [01 December 1954] PREAMBLE An Act to amend the Assam Betterment and Mooring Tax (Dibrugarh) Act, 1953. Whereas it is expedient to amend the Assam Betterment Fee and Mooring Tax (Dibrugarh) Act, 1953 (Assam Act XIII of 1953) hereinafter called the Principal Act in the manner hereinafter appearing. It is hereby enacted in the Fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows: - 1. Short title, extent and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Assam Betterment Fee and Mooring Tax (Dibrugarh) (Amendment) Act, 1954. (2) It shall have like extent as the Principal Act, (3) It shall come into force on the date on which the Principal Act comes into force. 2. Amendment of the Schedule to the Assam Act XIII of 1953 :- In the Schedule to the Principal Act the words "realisable in annual instalments over the period as fixed under sub-section (1) of Section 5 appearing in the entries against Belt A, Belt B, Belt C and Belt D shall be omitted.
