Amendment of section 7 Assam Cinema (Regulation) (Amendment) Act, 2005 39 of 2005 [07 September 2005] PREAMBLE An Act further to amend the Assam Cinema (Regulation) Act, 1953 Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Cinema (Regulation) Act, 1953 (Assam Act XIV of 1953), hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-sixth year of Republic of India, as follows:- 1. Short title, extent and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Assam Cinema (Regulation) (Amendment) Act, 2005. (2) It extends to the whole of Assam. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint 2. Amendment of section 7 :- In the principal Act, in section 7, for the words "One thousand rupees" and "One hundred rupees", wherever it occur, the words "five thousand rupees" and "five hundred rupees" respectively shall be substituted.
