Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Entry Tax Act, 2008 (Assam Act XII of 2008), hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing: It is hereby enacted in the Sixty-third Year of Republic of India, as follows:-- 1. Assam Gazette, Extraordinary No. 384, dated August 21, 2012. 1. Short title, extent and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Assam Entry Tax (Amendment) Act, 2012. (2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act. (3) It shall come into force at once. 2. Amendment of Schedule :- In the principal Act, in the Schedule, for Serial No. 59 with entries thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:-- "59. Paper excluding newsprint and kraft paper. 2"
