Amendment of Section-2 Assam Ganja And Bhang Prohibition (Amendment) Act, 1995 03 of 1995 [18 April 1995] PREAMBLE An Act further to amend the Assam Ganja and Bhang Prohibition Act, 1958. Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Ganja and Bhang Prohibition Act, 1958 (Assam Act XXI of 1958), hereinafter called the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Forty sixth Year of the Republic of India as follow:- 1. Short title, extent and Commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Assam Ganja and Bhang Prohibition (Amendment) Act, 1995. (2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act. (3) It shall come into force at once. 2. Amendment of Section-2 :- In the principal Act, in Section 2, in sub section (2) for the words "State Prohibition Council" the words "State Anti-Drug and Prohibition Council" shall be substituted.
