Amendment of section 10 of Assam Act XVI of 1955 Assam Khadi And Village Industries Board (Amendment) Act, 1956 23 of 1956 [29 November 1956] PREAMBLE An Act to amend the Assam Khadi and Village Industries Board Act, 1955. Whereas it is expedient to amend the Assam Khadi and Village Industries Board Act, 1955 (Assam Act XVI of 1955), hereinafter called the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short title, extent and commencement :- (1) This Act may be tilled the Assam Khadi and Village Industries Board (Amendment) Act, 1956. (2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act. (3) It shall come into force at once. 2. Amendment of section 10 of Assam Act XVI of 1955 :- For sub-sections (2) and (3) of section 10 of the principal Act the following shall respectively be substituted, namely:-- "(2) Every contract shall be made on behalf of the Board, by the Secretary. (3) Every contract made by the Secretary on behalf of the Board, shall subject to the provisions of this section, be entered into in such manner and form as may be prescribed."
