Amendment of section 7 of Assam Act XVI of 1955 Assam Khadi And Village Industries Board (Amendment) Act, 1970 27 of 1971 [17 December 1971] PREAMBLE An Act further to amend the Assam Khadi and Village Industries Board Act, 1955 Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Khadi and Village Industries Board Act, 1955 (Assam Act XVI of 1955), hereinafter, called the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Twenty-first Year of the Republic of India, as follows:- 1. Short title, extent and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Assam Khadi and Village Industries Board (Amendment) Act, 1970. (2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act. (3) It shall come into force at once. 2. Amendment of section 7 of Assam Act XVI of 1955 :- In Section 7 of the principal Act, in subsection (1), the full-stop at the end shall be substituted by a comma and the following words, thereafter, followed by a full-stop shall be added, namely:-- "Subject to prior approval of Government in the Finance Department."
