Power to amend Schedule Assam Preferential Stores Purchase (Amendment) Act, 1990 20 of 1990 [21 November 1990] PREAMBLE An Act to amend the Assam Preferential Stores Purchase Act, 1989. Whereas it is necessary to amend the Assam Preferential Stores Purchase Act, 1989 (Assam Act XIX of 1989) hereinafter called the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Forty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- 1. Short title, extent and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Assam Preferential Stores Purchase (Amendment) Act, 1990. (2) It shall have she like extent as the principal Act. (3) It shall come into force at once. 2. Insertion of a new clause in Section 2 :- In the principal Act, in Section 2, after clause (s), the following clause shall he inserted, namely:-- "(t) Schedule means the Schedule appended to this Act." 3. Power to amend Schedule :- In the principal Act, after Section 20, the following new section shall be inserted, namely:-- "21. The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, amend Schedule-II and Schedule-III of this Act."
