Repeat of Assam Act XXIV of 1950 Assam Repealing Act, 1955 01 of 1956 [11 January 1956] PREAMBLE An Act to repeal the Assam Declaration of Expenditure on the Salaries and Allowances of the Ministers to be charged on the Consolidated Fund of the State of Assam Act, 1950. Whereas it is expedient to repeal the Assam Declaration of Expenditure on the Salaries and Allowances of the Ministers to be charged on the Consolidated Fund of the State of Assam Act, 1950 (Assam Act XXIV of 1950); It is hereby enacted in the Sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- 1. Short title and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Assam Repealing Act, 1955. (2) It shall come into force from the first day of April 1956. 2. Repeat of Assam Act XXIV of 1950 :- The Assam Declaration of Expenditure on the Salaries and Allowances of the Ministers to be charged on the Consolidated Fund of the State of Assam Act, 1950 (Assam Act XXIV of 1950) shall stand repealed from the date of commencement of this Act.
