Repeal and saving Assam Repealing Act, 2005 45 of 2005 [19 December 2005] PREAMBLE An Act to repeal the Assam Non-Government (Deficit) College Central Pension and Provident Fund Act, 1997. Whereas it is expedient to repeal the Assam Non-Government (Deficit) College Central Pension and Provident Fund Act, 1997 (Assam Act XVII of 1997); It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short title and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Assam Repealing Act, 2005. (2) It shall come into force at once. 2. Repeal and saving :- (1) The Assam Non-Government (Deficit) College Central Pension and Provident Fund Act, 1997 (Assam Act XVII of 1997) is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the Act so repealed shall be deemed to have been validly done or taken under the corresponding provisions of the Act so repealed.
