Application of the Act No. 1 of 1990 to the Lushai Hills District Assam Revenue Recovery (Extension To Lushai Hills) Act, 1954 18 of 1954 [12 May 1954] PREAMBLE An Act to extend the provisions of the Revenue Recovery Act, 1890 to Lushai Hills District. Whereas the Revenue Recovery Act, 1890 (Act No. I of 1890). is not in force in Lushai Hills District; And whereas it is expedient to being the said Act into force in the said District. It is hereby enacted as follows: -- 1. Short title, extent and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Assam Revenue Recovery (Extension to Lushai Hills) Act, 1954. (2) It extends to the Lushai Hills District. (3) It shall come into force at once 2. Application of the Act No. 1 of 1990 to the Lushai Hills District :- All the provisions of the Revenue Recovery Act, 1890 (Act No. I of 1890), as amended from time to time, subject to any amendments to which it is for the time being subject in the rest of Assam, shall apply to the Lushai Hills District.
