BE it enacted by Parliament in the Ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short Title :- This Act may be called the Assam Rifles (Amendment) Act, 1958. 2. Amendment Of Section 8, Act 5 Of 1941 :- In clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 8 of the Assam Rifles Act, 1941, after the word "Commandant", the words "or an Assistant Commandant" shall be inserted.
