Amendment of section 8 Assam Science And Technology University (Amendment) Act, 2011 06 of 2011 [01 March 2011] PREAMBLE AN ACT to amend the Assam Science and Technology University Act, 2009 Whereas it is expedient to amend the Assam Science and Technology University Act, 2009(Assam Act No. III of 2010), hereinafter called the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Sixty-second Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short title and commencement :- (1) The Act may be called the Assam Science and Technology University (Amendment) Act, 2011. (2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act. 2. Amendment of section 8 :- In the principal Act, in sub-section (1), for the words "The Governor of Assam", the words "Chief Minister of Assam" shall be substituted.
