Amendment of Section 2 of Assam Act XXV of 1958 Assam Speakers Salaries And Allowances (Amendment) Act, 1986 10 of 1986 [30 August 1986] PREAMBLE An Act further to amend the Assam Speaker's Salaries and Allowances Act, 1958. Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Speaker's Salaries and Allowances Act, 1958, hereinafter called the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Thirty-Seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- 1. Short title and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called The Assam Speakers Salaries and Allowances (Amendment) Act, 1986. (2) It shali come into force on the 1st day of September, 1986. 2. Amendment of Section 2 of Assam Act XXV of 1958 :- I n the principal Act, for Section 2, the following shall be substituted, namely:-- "2. Salary of the Speaker:-- There shall be paid to the Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly a salary of two thousand seven hundred and fifty rupees per mensem."
