Amendment of section 2 of Assam Act XXV of 1958 Assam Speakers Salaries And Allowances (Amendment) Act, 1995 09 of 1995 [18 April 1995] PREAMBLE An Act further to amend the Assam speaker's Salaries and Allowances Act, 1958. Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Speaker's Salaries and Allowances Act, 1958 (Assam Act, XXV of 1958), hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing; I t is enacted in the Forty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- 1. Short title and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Assam Speakers Salaries and Allowances (Amendment) Act, 1995. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the first day of April, 1994. 2. Amendment of section 2 of Assam Act XXV of 1958 :- I n the principal Act, in section 2, in clause (vii) for the existing provisions the following shall be substituted, namely:-- "(vii) for journeys by road in his own or allotted car within the State, a Speaker shall be entitled to mileage allowance as such rates as may be provided in the rules."
