Insertion of new item in the Schedule to the principal Act Assam State Legislature Members (Removal Of Disqualifications) (Amendment) Act, 1954 14 of 1954 [05 May 1954] PREAMBLE An Act further to amend the Assam State Legislature Members (Removal of Disqualification) Act, 1950 Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam State Legislature Members (Removal of Disqualifications) Act, 1950 (Assam Act XIII of 1950) hereinafter called the "principal Act," in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted as follows: -- 1. Short title, extent and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Assam State Legislature Members (Removal of Disqualifications) (Amendment) Act, 1954. (2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act. (3) It shall come into force at once. 2. Insertion of new item in the Schedule to the principal Act :- I n the Schedule to the principal Act, After item 9, the following item shall be inserted, namely:-- "10. Any office held in the Territorial Army or National Cadet Corps".
