Amendment of section 2 Assam State Legislature Members (Removal Of Disqualifications) (Amendment) Act, 2012 13 of 2012 [14 May 2012] PREAMBLE An Act further to amend the Assam State Legislature Members (Removal of Disqualifications) Act, 1950. Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam State Legislature Members (Removal of Disqualifications) Act, 1950, hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Sixty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows :- 1. Short title, extent and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Assam State Legislature Members (Removal of Disqualifications) (Amendment) Act, 2012. (2) It extends to the whole of Assam. (3) It shall come into force at once. 2. Amendment of section 2 :- In the Principal Act, in section 2, in the Schedule, after existing entry 13, the following new entry 13A shall be inserted, namely :- "13A. The Office of Chief Whips in the Assam Legislative Assembly."
