Assistant Draftsman (Class-III) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Rules, 1998 In exercise of the powers conferred by Sec. 227 read with Sec. 274 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993 (Guj. 18 of 1993) and in supersession of all the rules made in this behalf, the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules to provide for regulating recruitment to the post of Assistant Draftsman (Class-III) (Panchayat Service), namely: 1. 1. :- These rules may be called the Assistant Draftsman (Class-III) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Rules, 1998. 2. 2. :- Appointment to the post of Assistant Draftsman (Class-III) (Panchayat Service) shall be made by promotion of a person proved merit and efficiency from amongst the person who have worked as Tracer (Class-III), (Panchayat Service) for not less than five years and who have passed the prescribed departmental examination. 3. 3. :- A candidate appointed by promotion shall be required to undergo such, training for such period and pass the post-training examination and an examination in Hindi or Gujarati or both as may be prescribed by the Government.
