Assistant Instructor (Class-III) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Rules, 1998 In exercise of the powers conferred by Sec. 227 read with Sec. 274 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993 (Guj. 18 of 1993) and in supersession of all the rules made in this behalf the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules to provide for regulating recruitment to the post of Assistant Instructor (Class-III) (Panchayat Service), namely: 1. 1. :- (1) These rules may be called the Assistant Instructor (Class-III) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Rules, 1998. (2) The Cadre of the Assistant Instructor (Class-III) (Panchayat Service) shall consist of the posts specified in Schedule-I appended to these rules. 2. 2. :- Appointment to the post of Assistant Instructor (Class-III) (Panchayat Service) shall be made by direct selection. 3. 3. :- To be eligible for appointment by direct selection to the post mentioned in Rule 2, a candidate shall (a) not be less than 18 years and not more than 30 years of age; (b) (i) have passed the Secondary School Certificate Examination with Mathematics and Science subjects or its equivalent examination recognised by the Government. (ii) possess a certificate in respective trade of an Industrial Trading Institute or a n equivalent qualifications; (iii) have not less than three years' practical experience of the work in the trade concerned including the training period, as shown in sub-clause (ii) above: (c) have adequate knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi. 4. 4. :- A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be on probation for a period of one year. 5. 5. :- A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to undergo such training for such period and pass such post-training examination as may be prescribed by the Government. 6. 6. :- A selected candidate shall be required to pass the departmental examination and an examination in Gujarat or Hindi or both as may be prescribed by the Government. 7. 7. :- A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to, furnish a security and surety bond for such amount, in such form and for such period as may be prescribed by the Government.
