Auto Electrician (Class-III) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Rules, 1998 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 227 read with section 274 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993 (Guj. 18 of 1993) and in supersession of all the rules made in this behalf, the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules to provide for regulating recruitment to the post of Auto Electrician (Class-III) (Panchayat Service) namely :- 1. 1. :- These rules may be called the Auto Electrician (Class-III), (Panchayat Service), Recruitment Rules, 1998. 2. 2. :- Appointment to the post of Auto Electrician, (Class-III), (Panchayat Service) shall be made by direct selection. 3. 3. :- To be eligible for appointment to the post mentioned in rule 2 a candidate shall : (a) not be less than 21 years and not more than 28 years of age; (b) have passed Secondary School Certificate Examination or have an equivalent qualification: (c) possess a diploma or a certificate in the trade of Auto Electrician from an Industrial Training Institute with three years experience in installation or repairs of electrical equipments of motor vehicles in Government or Semi Government Department or reputed institution prior to or after obtaining the prescribed educational qualifications; (d) have adequate knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi. 4. 4. :- A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be on probation for a period of one year. 5. 5. :- A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to undergo such training for such period and pass such post training examination as may be prescribed by the Government. 6. 6. :- A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to pass the departmental examination and an examination in Gujarati or Hindi or both as may be prescribed by the Government. 7. 7. :- A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to furnish security and surity bond for such amount, in such form and for such period as may be prescribed by the Government.
