WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Court of Wards Act, 1879, for the purposes and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted as follows :- NOTE Court of Wards Central Act and its amendment in section 3 this Act has been enacted. 1. Short title :- This Act may be called the Bengal Court of Wards (Amendment) Act, 1941. 2. Amendment of section 3 of Bengal Act 9 of 1879 :- Repealed by W.B. Act 7 of 1948. 3. Repeal of section 56 :- Repealed by W.B. Act 7 of 1948. 4. Retrospective effect :- The amendments made by sections 2 and 3 shall have effect in respect of all suits or proceedings including proceedings in execution which are pending on the date of commencement of this Act.
