B e it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Bihar in the Fourteenth year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. For Statement of Objects and Reasons please see the Bihar Gazette, Extraordinary of the 9th October, 1963. 1. Short title :- This Act may be called by *Bihar District Boards and Local Boards (Control and Management) (Amendment) Act, 1963. 2. Amendment of Section 2 of *Bihar Act XX of 1958 :- In sub-section (2) of Section 2 of the Bihar District Boards and Local Boards (Control and Management) Act, 1958 (Bihar Act XX of 1958), for the words "not exceeding five years", the words "not exceeding six years" shall be substituted. 3. Repeal and saving :- (1) The Bihar District Boards and Local Boards (Control and Management) (Amendment) Ordinance, 1963 (Bihar Ordinance no. V of 1963), is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken in exercise of the powers conferred by or under the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken in the exercise of the powers conferred by or under this Act, as if this Act were in force on the day on which such thing was done or such action was taken.
