Repeal and saving Bihar District Boards And Local Boards (Control And Management) (Amendment) Act, 1966 PREAMBLE An Act to amend the Bihar District Boards and Local Boards (Control and Management) Act, 1958. B e it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Bihar in the Seventeenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short title :- This Act may be called the Bihar District Boards and Local Boards (Control and Management) (Amendment) Act, 1966. Notes.- For Statement of Objects and Reasons see Bihar Gazette, Extraordinary, dated November 30, 1966. 2. Amendment of Section 2 of Bihar Act XX of 1958 :- For sub-section (2) of Section 2 of Bihar District Boards and Local Boards (Control and Management) Secs. 1-2] Bihar D.B. & L.B. (Control & Management (Amdt.) Act, 1970 [ 995 Act, 1958 (Bihar Act XX of 1958), the following sub-section shall be substituted, namely:- "(2) When an order under sub-section (1) has been made, the powers, functions and duties conferred or imposed by or under the said Act or any other Act or rules made thereunder on the District Board or Local Board or on the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, any Officer or committee as the case may be, shall be exercised and performed upto the 31st March, 1968 by such person or persons as the State Government may, from time to time appoint in this behalf." 3. Repeal and saving :- (1)The Bihar District Boards and Local Boards (Control and Management) (Amendment) Ordinance, 1966 (Bihar Ordinance No. II of 1966), is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken in exercise of any power conferred by or under the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken in the exercise of power conferred by or under this Act, as if this Act were in force on the day on which such thing or action was done or taken.
