Short title, extent and commencement Bihar Finance Act, 1956 10 of 1956 PREAMBLE An Act to fix the limit of taxable agricultural income and to lay down rates of agricultural income-tax and super-tax chargeable under the Bihar Agricultural Income-Tax Act, 1948, for the financial year beginning on the 1st day of April, 1956. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Bihar in the Seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short title, extent and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Bihar Finance Act, 1956. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Bihar. (3) It shall come into force on the 1st day of April, 1956.
