(2) It shall come into force at once. 2. 2 :- The Governor of the new State of Gujarat shall, before entering upon his office on the 1st day of May, 1960, make and subscribe the oath or affirmation prescribed in Art. 159 of the Constitution in the presence of the seniormost Judge available of the High Court for the Suite.
