SCHEDULE 1 :- SCHEDULE BOMBAY STAMPS (PAYMENT OF DISCOUNT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF POSTS ON SALE OF REVENUE STAMPS) RULES, 2004 No, MUDRANK 2004/C.R.-339/M-1 dated 1st September 2004:- Whereas the Government of Maharashtra is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary to make the Bombay Stamps (Payment of Discount to the Department of posts on sale of Revenue Stamps) Rules, 2004 and to dispense with the condition of, previous publication thereof under the proviso to sub-section (3) of section 69 of the Bombay Stamps Act, 1958 (Bom. LX of 1958); Now, therefore in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and clauses (b) and (c) read with the proviso to sub-section (3) of section 69 of the Bombay Stamps Act, 1958 (Born. LX of 1958), and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf and in supersession of all earlier rules made in this respect and are in force, the Government of Maharashtra hereby makes the following rules, namely:- 1. . :- These rules may be called as the Bombay Stamps (Payment of Discount to the Department of posts on sale of Revenue Stamps) Rules, 2004. 2. . :- Notwithstanding anything contained in the Bombay Stamps Supply and Sale Rules, 1934, there shall be paid to the Department of posts the Discount, on the sale of Indian Revenue Stamps, at the rate specified in column (3) of the Schedule for the period specified in column (2) of the Schedule, hereto.
