Saving SCHEDULE 1 :- SCHEDULE 1 Border Security Force Sub-inspector (Proof Reader combatised posts) Recruitment Rules, 1999 G.S.R. 263.-In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) and (c) of Sub-section (2) of Section 141 of the Border Security Force Act 1968 (47 of 1968), and in supersession of the Border Security Force (Combatised) Sub-Inspector (Proof Reader) Recruitment Rules, 1993, the Central Government hereby makes the following Rules, namely :- 1. Short title and commencement :- (1) These rules may be called the Border Security Force Sub- inspector (Proof Reader combatised posts) Recruitment Rules, 1999. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Number, classification and scale of pay :- The number of posts, their classification and scale of pay attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed hereto. 3. Method of Recruitment, age limit, qualification etc. :- The method of recruitment. age limit, qualification and other matters relating to the said post shall be as specified in columns (5) to (14) of the schedule. 4. Disqualifications :- No person.- (a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living, or (b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person. shall be eligible tor appointment to the cadre : Provided that the Central Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the Personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this rules. 5. Ineligibility of alines :- N o person who is not a citizen of India shall, except with the consent of the Central Government, signified in writing, be appointed or employed under these rules. Provided that nothing contained in these rules shall debar the appointment, enrolment or employment of a subject of a Nepal and or Bhutan under these rules. 6. Power to relax :- Where the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order, for reasons to be recorded in writing, relax any of the provisions of these rules in respect of any class or category of persons, 7. Saving :- Nothing in these rules shall affect reservations, relaxation of age limit and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Back ward Classes. Ex- Servicemen and other special categories of person in accordance with the orders issued by the Government from time to time in this regard.
