Repeat And Saving Calicut University (Amendment) Amending Act, 1998 19 of 1998 An Act to amend the Calicut University (Amendment) Act, 1997. WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Calicut University (Amendment) Act, 1997, for the purpose hereinafter appearing; BE it enacted in the Forty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- 1. Short Title And Commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Calicut University (Amendment) Amending Act, 1998. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 2nd day of June, 1998. 2. Amendment Of Section 3 :- In the Calicut University (Amendment) Act, 1997 (2 of 1998), in sub-section (2) of section 3, for the words "within a period of one year", the words "within a period of two years" shall be substituted. 3. Repeat And Saving :- (1) The Calicut University (Amendment) Amending Ordinance, 1998 (9 of 1998), is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the Calicut University (Amendment) Act, 1997, as amended by the said ordinance, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the Calicut University (Amendment) Act, 1997, as amended by this Act.
